The Mission of Hill's Service Company, Inc. is to provide the customer with quality lasting service for their heating, cooling, and indoor air quality needs by -  Presenting certified, neat, respectable, polite,  well-trained technicians  Striving for excellence in service  Promoting quality work through experience  Ensuring total customer satisfaction.Robert L. Hill, Sr. starts working for a heat and air business. However, in 13 years this same company will be going out  of business.   He has to decide whether to look for alternative employment or start his own business. The problem with starting his own business was he would not be able to install anything for  two years.So, in May of 1965, with $5000, Robert L. Hill, Sr. purchased a service department, a truck, tools, parts, and a customer list, and began his own heating and air business calling it Hill's Service Company.   The shop was located behind his home - 205 Linden Avenue.The business thrived at this location until 1967, when he moved his residence. Mr. Hill then relocated the shop to a small building at the bottom of the hill of Chestnut Street Extension and Highway 221.In November of 1972, Mr. Hill relocated once again to the business' current location of 2621 Highway 221 South.   The building has been added onto twice since this relocation.  In the early 1970's Hill's Service Company sold residential appliances such as Jenn-Air and Kitchen-aid, but these brands were discontinued in the mid 1980's.Hill's Service Company was incorporated two years later in December of 1974. The business has grown over time with service and technicians and installers.By 1975, there were five employees and four trucks, and radios were installed in each truck for more efficient communication.In 1977, the business began to work on commercial refrigeration equipment.By 1981, there were seven employees and six trucks.  However, as time goes on the company will continue to grow and expand and will eventually employ seventeen workers with eleven trucks.In February of 1993, Robert L. Hill, Jr.. (Robbie) was named President and Michael S. Hill (Buddy) was named Vice President/Secretary/Treasurer, with Robert L. Hill, Sr.  serving as Chairman.In June of 1996, the service of duct cleaning was started and received a tremendous response from customers.  Mr. Hill, Sr. retired from Hill's Service Company, Inc. on September 26, 1996, leaving Robbie and Buddy to direct the business. And a wonderful job they have done well into the New Millennium.  Hill's Service Company, Inc. was founded on the one basic principle, to take care of the customer's needs by providing quality service. The primary concern today is still the same as the day we started, and that is to ensure total customer satisfaction and beyond.
